Daniel 2:13-15

¹³ And the decree went forth, and the wise men were taken to be slain, and they sought Daniel and his fellows to kill them.

¹⁴ ¶ Then Daniel spoke with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king’s guard, who was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon.

¹⁵ He spoke and said to Arioch the king’s captain, What is the reason for which this decree has gone forth from the king with such haste? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
